Ontsnap aan Migraine SEO

Janssen-Cilag had launched the Flash websites “ontsnapaanmigraine.be” and “echappezalamigraine.be”. These websites contain a lot of information about migraine and its treatments and causes.

Objectives

The primary objective for this job was to attract more visitors to the Flash-based website by building a standards compliant, CMS-driven XHTML website underneath the Flash website. Thus allowing search engines, like Google and Yahoo, to crawl all content easily.

Results

• We started this project with a detailed information architecture phase, resulting in very well structured copy sheet containing lots of cross links to related information.
• We used Expression Engine as the content management system (CMS) to manage all content easily and enabling us to enable all built-in SEO features.
• The website was indexed thoroughly by major search engines in no time, resulting in 70% organic visitors and 6% non-organic visitors (via Adwords). This means the website now has about 75% more visitors compared to the Flash-only version of this website.
